Regular health checks are one of the prerequisites for living a healthier and longer life. Unfortunately, for various reasons, many men do not get to the doctor or get there too late.
The purpose of the Friends For Life Day is to make men care more about their health and that of their friends. For this purpose, health check-up packages based on blood samples and blood pressure measurements have been put together by male and laboratory doctors, which provide an overview of a man’s most important health indicators. They focus on age-related blood indicators for men up to 35 and 35+.
You can get exactly the same packages at a place convenient for you in November at Confido, Medicum, Meliva or SYNLAB.
It is not necessary to not eat or drink for 10-14 hours prior to the analysis, the recommended gap between blood donation and meal should be at least 2-3 hours. Before the blood sample is taken, the blood taker measures your blood pressure, then venous blood is taken. Just keep an eye on whether or not you need to make an appointment for the blood draw in advance.
You will receive the results of the analyzes together with the general comments of the laboratory doctors within 3 working days at the latest either via the patient portal, encrypted e-mail or in paper form. Also, the answers to the analyzes are sent with comments to the Health portal, where they are also available to all healthcare professionals with whom you wish to share your health data.
Knowing your health results allows you to be aware of health risks and monitor their changes over time. To reduce health risks, it is recommended to refrain from smoking, eat healthily, exercise actively, maintain a normal body weight and blood pressure.
The interpretation of the results of the analyzes may require the help of a male physician/urologist/cardiologist. If you have questions about the content of the performed tests or if there are deviations in the test results that you do not understand exactly, we recommend booking an appointment with a specialist.
